Men, Women, Sex, and Singleness

Chase Replogle

Pastor

Is marriage a higher calling than singleness? Does following Christ look different depending on our relationships? In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul challenges the assumptions of the Corinthian church, offering a surprising vision of marriage built on mutual authority, love, and submission. He also presents singleness as a meaningful expression of devotion to Christ.

In this sermon, we explore how both marriage and singleness reveal something about God’s grace—and why neither can ultimately provide the fulfillment we seek. Whether married, single, or widowed, our calling is not to pursue a more spiritual life somewhere else, but to turn toward Christ in the life we have been given.
